Less than a week ago, we launched this blog with modest expectations that we might attract a few ears and possibly make some folks laugh while sharing our collective perspective on the events unfolding in Durham, North Carolina. We had high hopes that perhaps in some small way we might be able to make our voices heard while, perhaps, making some small difference for those involved in, and those avidly observing, this unfortunate drama as it plays out. We were quite pleased when, within 24 hours of our start up, we found our Durham's Most Wanted Poster featured at both The Johnsville News and Ruth's Metro Blog. Within another few days, we found a kind mention from John In Carolina. Soon we were back partying at Ruth's when she offered links to two of our Anybody But Nifong press releases.
Today, our debut week has reached a new peek as our "Who's Listening Now?" parody was featured prominently in the introduction to another fine offering from none other than Robert "KC" Johnson. For those unfamiliar with his work, he is a history professor at the City University of New York - Brooklyn who has provided extensive commentary and original research on the Duke case. He is truly one of the heroes in the coverage of this case who has challenged the academic establishment to stand up for its students and exposed the cowardice and hypocrisy of segments of the Duke faculty and administration. With both humilty, and gratitude, we'd like to acknowledge his kind reference to our modest contributions.
