Yes, there is no doubt Nifong is stalling hoping this case will not fall apart before November 7. And the judge yesterday helped him out, setting the next hearing for 20th of October. He should have set the date for next hearing for 6th of October so he couldn't drag this out anymore. And why am I not surprised some of the evidence got destroyed in this case?
Dude...what happened to the rest of Fong's fingers? Did he lose two from each hand in the shredder?
Shredder accident sounds as good a theory as any.
