Don't forget that 30= 5-10 also!
That is explained fully in the second chapter under "When the timeline doesn't fit theorem"
Mike I think its time for a remedial math course. I'm sorry to say this but you will have to start with basic addition.
Also in the future don't use your fingers to count. That method often leads to erroneous results such as 70=15.
Is there an elementary school close by your work? Maybe you could go there on your lunch hour to catch up.
