I bet he is sweating it! Karma is sweet.
ROFLMAO! Too funny!
June 12th cannot come soon enough.
We can only hope that this public dismemberment of the 'Fong will cause him to begin ratting out Gottlieb, Himan, Addison and his other co-conspirators among the Durham Police Department.
Call me a Hilton apologist, but I view the enormous public clamor of the "Parisites" rejoicing over Paris' troubles as way over the top. Though certainly not a parallel of the Duke Hoax, the unbridled public hysteria that ensued in both cases may have roots in mass jealousy against people of "privilege".
I find blatant hypocrisy in both cases, e.g. Hilton case court officials announcing that the justice system will not be circumvented or made a laughingstock for celebrities, or words to that effect. Right. How about this short list: Michael Jackson, OJ, Robert Blake, Ted Kennedy.
The next test of the "blind" administration of justice comes next week with the Nifong hearing. Let's see the public reaction if our hero gets off like Crystal Mangum already did. If he does, I predict you'll be able to hear a pin drop when listening to the (ignorant) masses on this issue.
Please let me be wrong.
And to KC Johnson, thanks so much for your astounding work over the course of this Hoax, which you played a large part in helping to unravel. You're one of the true heroes in a world that has far too few.
I worked felony Detentions for five years - there is nothing unusual about the early release of Paris. It is normal practice. The jails are so overcrowded, there is no room for the real criminals - rapist, murderers and the like.
The detention centers are freezing. They keep it that way, to help keep tempers cooled off. She was wrong in driving drunk and I hope she has learned her lesson.
I truly hope Paris cleans up her act. Frankly I think the Judge was the first adult in her life which told her NO!
As for Nifong I can't wait to hear him cry" Momie-Mommie-Mommie" when he is found guilty!
Amen to 4:30 PM. Actually, Paris is a metaphor for today's culture. Yes, Paris it is called jail and DWI is not to be trivialized, minimized, and disregarded with a dismissiveness that reflects the arogance of privilege you live in the shadow of heroes and you live your life in the gutter. It doesn't matter how much money you have, and contrary to 11:57 AM it is you and your responsibility and not OJ's or Bobby Blake's or Jesse Jackson's or Ted Kennedy's or Billy Clinton's responsibility to be responsible for your own actions. Watch "Saving Private Ryan" and answer the question. It is a question we all need to ask ourselves.
I think A Question you might like to ask yourself is what condemning Paris, Saving Private Ryan, and YOU have in common.
Paris Hilton looks to have a manic personality which is one side of the bipolar condition. There is a technical name for this but I don't have it off the top of my head.
If you look at her behaviour over the years, she seems to have boundless energy without getting depressed.
The major conditions resulting in psychosis are depression, bipolar and schizophrenia. There can be a trigger for psychosis and it is frequently stress. Going to jail for her was probably very stressful.
Of course the psychosis can be stressful too. What's hard to see is one one becomes psychotic which generates stress which amplifies the psychosis which causes more stress and you get into a feedback loop that can wind up in the hospital or the morgue.
Hopefully they can provide a medication that can allow her to recover. All of the medications have pretty crummy side-effects and varying levels of effectiveness from patient to patient.
And there is a connection here between CGM and Paris as they were both on antipsychotics (correct me if I'm wrong).
I take no pleasure from Paris Hilton's incarceration, except for the pleasure I get whenever I don't see her on TV. I sincerely hope she gets the help, perspective, and wisdom she so desperately needs.
I think there is a connection between the enjoyment Americans receive watching Paris Hilton go to jail, and they enjoyment they received in their supposed smug knowledge that Reade, Collin, and David were rapists.
After all, they were privileged white boys. They were at a party with strippers! What further proof do you need?!?
