Duke Students for an Ethical Duke Blog

The Duke Students for an Ethical Duke have started a new Blog and we encourage those who are following the case to check it often.

Duke Students for an Ethical Duke

Their mission statement is as follows

Duke Students for an Ethical Duke exists to achieve and protect a constructive and wholesome educational and extracurricular environment for ALL Duke students. We pledge to defend the dignity and the academic and legal rights of Duke students, both individually and collectively, whether threatened by other students, faculty, or administrators alike. Whenever hatred, racism, prejudice, slander, or plain administrative and academic incompetence manifest on Duke Campus, we are listening not as personal advocates but as advocates of principle, fairness, and equality. Mission Statement

This organization has sponsored the recent separate presentations on campus by co-authors of Until Proven Innocent, Prof KC Johnson & Stuart Taylor.

LieStoppers commends these students at Duke for their work. Let's give them our full support as they are on the fronts line defending the "dignity and the academic and legal rights of Duke students, both individually and collectively." They face off against the prejudice of the "88" on a daily basis, and we thank them for it.

Except for Grant and Houston Baker, who escaped, I believe most of the 88s are sorry they got involved with the the case.

Well if they are sorry they can apologize publically! I doubt they really are. They just are sorry they have been shown to be bigots.

Thanks for the post. To all of you at LieStoppers, we readily welcome any advice you have in Blogging. Specifically, we may set up a store as you have in the near future. We might start selling books and t-shirts and maybe more. Please send any suggestions to dsfeduke@gmail.com.

Also, for any who already use Google (especially for those who set Google as their homepage), consider setting our blog as your homepage and using our Google toolbar. That is another opportunity (like the advertisements) provided by AdSense that we are trying out.

Here's a T-Shirt suggestion: Prosecute False Accusers, with Mangum's face on it.

4:08. Do you have personal experience with the 88 that make you think that? Have you heard any such comments, or seen any softening of attitudes?

4:08 here - No,I do not. I know, what everyone else knows. This thing blew up in their faces and hardly worth the trouble, they have brought to themselves. There will not be a public apology but if they are not saying to themselves in the middle of the night "Am I sorry I got involved with that statement", I would be surprised. The good news - most of the tenured are older and should be retiring soon. ngle, Saying I am sorry is not going to happen. I do not need an apology and would not take it if one was offered.

KC's current post reinforces the idea that the 88 and others have hurt themselves, with their disgraceful performance in this event,

On the contrary, it shows that all of them continue to prosper and be rewarded both by Duke and by the rest of academia. Incredible but true.

Any chance of a lawsuit against the swine?

Like so many other issuew, I disagree with you on this one. Most have shown themselves to be ignorant public fools - Poor Washington Everett, a man with a distinguished career ends up being laughted at and his brief called preposterous by Lane Williamson., during a public trial. What about Rosenburg's public outing of his view of Duke Woman? A few have escaped but not many. As written - Broadhead is a failed Presidency - nothing will change the - Baker's reputation is down as is his marketplace value. Bob STeel's Quotes and actions will live as long as this case has a life. These are folk who wanted to be somebody in history and now they are losers. That is enough for this gal. Burning at a stake just ain't happening.
