Until Proven Innocent

It's out and it's a big hit with everyone who has been following this case and wants the inside scoop. KC Johnson & Stuart Taylor have done a great service in the pursuit of justice. This book will have far reaching effects not only in unravelling the Hoax, but in the public knowledge how innocent until proven guilty is no longer true.

“Brutally honest, unflinching, exhaustively researched, and compulsively readable, Until Proven Innocent excoriates those who led the stampede—the prosecutor, the cops, the media—but it also exposes the cowardice of Duke’s administration and faculty. Until Proven Innocent smothers any lingering doubts that in this country the presumption of innocence is dead, dead, dead.”--John Grisham

Off topic but the poll in the sidebar is notable for the "All of the Above" category finishing at 88.

Well done folks. Satisfying on so many levels.

LOL, so it is! 88!

Looking forward to Friday when the petty tyrant does the perp walk! Even if we don't see it, how sweet it is!

Oh, I really do hope we get photographs. Actually, what would be completely sweet is if they offered Nifong the professional courtesy of entering the county jail through the back doors to avoid reporters. Then notified the reporters that convicted criminal Mike Nifong would be found near the locked back doors of the county jail at 9 AM, and that they were welcome to take all the pictures they wanted of him being led away in handcuffs.

My wall has been newly repainted and I am SO looking forward to making the first dent in it once I finally get KC's book, open its pages to read yet another sordid fact he's uncovered on how those kids were framed and get so mad I throw the book at the wall. My old wall got 3 dents in after I read Pressler's "It's Not About the Truth" -- but I am certain KC's book will easily exceed that total.

In fact, by the time I finish KC's book, I may have to replace the wall entirely!

I thought it was going to be another Gone with The Wind type novel the way it started out.

Not well written and there was nothing about how the rape took place.

Disappointing. Glad I got a free copy.

I thought I would leave the above comment up for a while.

It is amazing that these people exist isn't it? Despite the fact the NC AG declared the players innocent, despite Nifong being disbarred & found criminally guilty of contempt of court, we have one anonymous poster saying a rape happened.

Well yes it did. Lady Liberty was brutalized last year in Durham and we know who did it!

Stop the clock

Hardin has ask the state to investigate according to DIW.

Wait until Cooper actually announces it!! Just to be sure!

But it is great news!

You know, comments like 6:29's used to really p*ss me off. But, the AG declared the boys not just "not guilty" but "INNOCENT". Nifong's been disbarred and is going to jail, the civil suits will uncover more details as to how someone can possibly be indicted for a crime that never happened AND now the H/S is reporting that Hardin has requested a criminal investigation??

I don't get p*ssed anymore ... just smile and wonder....

6:29 seems to me to be someone just having a little fun. Y'know, like Polanski.

Lady liberty wasn't the only one raped....

Durham ingeniously has pulled off another amazing feat. They have become experts at wool pulling, and given new definition to the motto of their Bull City.
Another example of the lies and depths to continue to oppress any semblance of justice, and to evade guilt of the truths.
The "Powers That BE" flagrantly refuses to accept any responsibility, and have been THE most nefarious lot imaginable.
Murders go unsolved, and the court system has been driven to a halt for even more than the past two years. Past cases are not even being pressed, because all they care about is getting some fresh revenue to help pay off the impending wave of lawsuits from the LAX3 cases they have before them now. Murders cost too much to investigate, so our loved ones go ignored. I never would have believed there could be such depravity within our own government! My father, his father, and many more families have, and are serving this nation, and have paid with their lives to defend our freedoms and rights. Letting our government to run amuck as we have is inexcusable. We have already shown the power we have when joined together for a common cause. Nifong is but the tip of the icerberg. The lid has yet to be removed, and I will continue my own quest to protest for my beliefs and others like my own family who have had to fight tooth and nail, and refuse to be intimidated by corruption, or the stench of mendacity.
