Thanks again, Joan !!!
Excellent ....
Hey his guitar is worth a few bucks.
Feel sure 'his guitar gently weeps'
Take all his cd's except for the Kenny G ones!!!!
Better than Seger! Right on, Joan.
So basically what he is saying is that he agrees he is liabile for the claims against him so he gives up and declares bankruptcy.
As far as his listing of assets do we actually think he would start telling the truth now? How could this man perform in a church?
Thing is, Nifong is so incredibly stupid he doesn't understand that you don't lie in writing, in official papers you're filing with a court. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
He's done much worse things but this is the kind of thing that will get him.
I am not so sure Nifong's figure regarding the value of his clothes is indefensible or even incorrect.
How much would you pay for a used suit that doesn't fit you? Isn't that the true value of a Mike Nifong [clothing] suit to the rest of the world? I will admit that I don't know a thing about the used clothing market in NC, but I bet the value of a used suit tailored to fit someone else is negligible.
And, Nifong was absolutely right to claim the lacrosse players as creditors. They are asserting or can assert, claims against him. By listing those claims, he is not necessarily admitting their validity but, rather, acknowledging their existence. Where Nifong would really get in trouble is if he didn't list the claims and tried to slide the bankruptcy by the court and obtain a general discharge w/o notice to the lacross players and their families. By listing the players as creditors, they will now get a chance to dispute the dischargeability of their claims against Nifong.
The bankruptcy filing by Nifong is probably on the up and up. At least, I haven't seen any evidence to suggest otherwise yet. The real question is whether the players' claims against him are dischargeable.
