Pressler chosen as Head Coach of 2010 U.S. Men's Lacrosse Team

In a remarkable turn around from the events of 2006 Coach Pressler will serve as the head coach for the U.S. men’s lacrosse team that will compete in the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship in Manchester, England.

The reaction was quick from one of his former players and assistant coach who applauded the decision of US Lacrosse which was founded on January 1, 1998, as the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse.

"He's got to try and pick the players who will fit into his system," said Kevin Cassese, who played for and coached with Pressler at Duke, and was a member of the 2002 and 2006 U.S. teams. "If he goes about it the way he goes about everything else, he's going to do it in a professional manner and surround himself with quality people of character first and foremost." Lax Magazine

For once, no public comment was heard from former VP of Communications at Duke University, John Burness.

Congratulations to Coach Pressler and his family. He deserves the acknowledgment of his peers. Again Duke's Administration looks like fools for their unfair and unjust treatment of the Coach and the 2006 Duke Lacrosse Team

Pressler is a class act. He has worked for and deserves all these good things happening to him. Says a lot for Bryant for having this man as their coach, while Brodhead and Duke Admin. look like jackasses.

And would Dick Brodhead EVER be
considered a quality or professional leader?
The answer is obvious .... NO,NO,NO

Coach Pressler is an excellent choice to take US Lacrosse to a new level.
Most sincere congratulations, and thanks to Coach Pressler.

Good luck to pressler. He deserves huge wins. Hope Brodhead's aura catches up with him... maybe in the way of testicular cancer leading to a commplete bilateral orchidectomy... but so far it's unknown if he even has a pair.
